Mr. Collura was appointed CEO of Specialty Risk RE in 2024 and also serves as a member of the firm’s board of directors and underwriting committee. He began his career in financial services in 1999, working as a financial advisor and banker at firms such as Ameritrade, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo Bank. In 2011, he founded a boutique corporate advisory firm specializing in structured finance, debt, and management solutions. During this time, he was also active in the Oil & Gas sector, completing acquisitions involving both public and private companies. Mr. Collura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska, where he was a Regents Scholar, and attended Creighton University School of Law.
Ms. Takvoryan was appointed Chief Legal Officer of Specialty Risk RE in 2024 and serves as a member of the firm’s board of directors and underwriting committee. In addition, she is the Chief Legal Officer at a global Swiss-based private equity firm. With over 20 years of legal expertise, she specializes in corporate securities, restructuring, M&A transactions (both domestic and cross-border), and corporate governance. Ms. Takvoryan has served extensively as outside general counsel for clients and has been a partner at both boutique and large international law firms. She holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated cum laude from Occidental College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs.
Mr. Ecklord was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in 2025. He is the Chief Financial Officer of Roosevelt Road Re, a Bermuda reinsurance firm. Previously, Mr. Ecklord served as the President and COO of Sandell Re, Ltd. a Class 3A Bermuda Reinsurer, which he founded in 2014. During this period Mr. Ecklord also created a Joint Venture, SOBC Sandell, which focused on mid-cap investments in the insurance run-off space. He was with Sandell Asset Management, a Global Event Driven Hedge Fund, for 18 years where he was a Partner and Senior Managing Director. In this capacity he led investments in the Merger Arbitrage universe. Prior to this, Mr. Ecklord worked in Equity Derivative roles for Goldman Sachs, SLK Capital Markets and was a member of the American Stock Exchange. Mr. Ecklord graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in 1995 with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
Ms. Bøgestrand joined Specialty Risk RE in 2025 as a Risk Manager. She began her career in risk management in 2016 as a risk model developer at Ørsted, a leading Danish energy company. She later transitioned to the life insurance and pension industry, serving as an actuary at PFA, the largest Danish life insurance and pension company. Ms. Bøgestrand brings over seven years of actuarial experience, with expertise in risk modeling, quantitative analytics, pricing, and valuation. She holds a Master of Science degree in Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Copenhagen and has also studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Mr. Saleeb joined Specialty Risk RE in 2025 and serves as Accounting Manager. He brings a strong background in tax compliance, financial auditing, and forensic accounting. His experience across both public accounting and the private sector has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting, financial analysis, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Before joining Specialty Risk RE, Mr. Saleeb worked at Weaver and Engel & Engel LLP where he has led budgeting and forecasting activities and has overseen both internal and external audit processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial statements. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton.
